The pictures on the news and in the papers (from Myanmar and Bangladesh) have been horrendous.  Since August 25, extreme violence has forced more than 430,000 Rohingya people to flee their homes and take refuge in Bangladesh. Although the Rohingya oppression has been going on for decades, this current crisis has been labelled as a case of “genocide” and it is the largest (and newest) major humanitarian crisis in the world.

World Renew Bangladesh has requested support from the International Disaster Response team to develop a response to the crisis. Grace Wiebe, Senior Project Manager for World Renew flew out on Monday evening and on Tuesday evening, September 26 we (Harry and Annie) fly to Dhaka, Bangladesh to start our assignment.   The length and scope of this project and the number of people it will help is still being determined.

We will provide further details as this project unfolds.  In the meantime, we solicit your prayer support.

Please keep in your prayers and hearts the various crises that currently exist in many parts of the world.  World Renew’s International Disaster Response— is at work in many countries globally and World Renew’s Disaster Response Services is involved in responding to the devastation that has swept North America countries.

Harry & Annie, you are such a wonderful, giving, couple. You are off on another human crisis project, this time to save the Rohingya population from Myanmar and provide a safe location in Bangladesh. With the numbers being expelled, this will be an difficult and daunting task. However, both June and I applaud your efforts to provide the Rohingya with safety and comfort and you will undoubtedly succeed in your in your latest project. Our prayers and thoughts are with you and the rest of the supporting team.

Dearest Uncle Harry and Aunt Anne.
We cannot imagine what you have immersed yourselves in.
No inspiring cliche will cover this one.
What can we do, besides commit you to the top of our prayer list?
Praying that God will give you all that you need, in His abundant and miraculous ways to rise to this challenge.
